Dear Reader:
This debate, about the central meaning of family is not about family. It's about adult self-interest, and people soliciting approval for behavior that they may freely participate in, WITH or WITHOUT implicit public approval! Nobody is stopping them.
Google "the History of Marriage" to realize that marriage evolved out of a societal need for a safe environment for the perpetuation of species. Fatherless children running around does not allow for a solid community. Thus, we marry to allow people to or rather permit people the access to children in order that they will be held responsible.
